A couple weeks passed, and while Tabitha was still getting signals from Keith (she knew it was Keith because she'd glance at the clock at 39 past the hour), he hadn't tried to speak with her. Well, she assumed Keith was a "he" because of the name. She didn't know if midwayers used the traditional binary gender code humans did.

A glance at the clock at 4:39pm and she spoke up. "Okay Keith, I know you're around. What's up?"

Tabitha's Story

Tabitha Sorkin glanced at her clock. 7:39pm. She reached for the TV remote and changed the channel. Her favorite show was coming on and she never missed it. This episode was one that kept Tabitha on the edge of her seat, and she couldn't peel her eyes away from the TV screen. The whole hour had passed without her even knowing. Her phone went off, and she went to check the text. Her cell phone said 8:39pm. She replied to the text, then brought over her laptop and surfed the internet for a couple hours.

Keith and Tabitha looked at each other as they heard their codes be called. They both stood up, a little sigh escaping Tabitha's lips, at they walked down the hall to the elders. Keith was the first to break the silence. "I wonder what it is they want from us. They never ask us to do anything."

Tabitha nodded in agreement. "Yeah, they always tell us we're too young, but I don't know how one can be too young when you're immortal." So, a couple weeks ago I got a little stamp happy and started collecting them.

Well, the only stamp I really wanted and couldn't find was one for w-inds. (a Japanese boy band, for the uninitiated.)

So, I thought, why not make my own? And so I did.
